Gary is a dedicated Pilates and GYROTONIC® practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry. He also holds a 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo, specializing in patterns and self-defense. Through his lifelong dedication to fitness and martial arts—and after recovering from multiple injuries—Gary discovered the transformative power of Pilates for both rehabilitation and athletic performance. His personal journey inspires his passion for helping others improve body awareness, mobility, core strength, and balance through safe, effective movement. Gary joined the Polestar Pilates Asia team in 2018 and now serves as an Educator and Mentor for Polestar Pilates US. Based in Toronto, he teaches a diverse range of classes, including HIIT, TRX®, stretching, fascia release, and martial arts. He is also certified in GYROTONIC®, BodyPump, and BodyCombat. In Canada, Gary is committed to making mindful movement accessible to all, with a special focus on older adults. He leads weekly online Pilates classes for over 150 seniors and partners with local organizations to promote healthy aging through inclusive movement programs. He also specializes in rehabilitation for special populations, working with clients affected by various pathologies, including scoliosis, arthritis, osteoporosis, hip replacements, and Parkinson’s disease—empowering them to move safely and confidently through personalized movement plans. Movement has always been an essential part of Dorothy's life. Her Pilates journey began in 2022 and quickly grew into a deep passion, leading her to complete the Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Certification in Miami, USA. She completed 13 months of comprehensive training, which equipped her with the knowledge and tools to guide others on their own movement journeys. Dorothy's Pilates practice also supports her son’s athletic pursuits, who is a national-level trampoline gymnast, by contributing to his conditioning and injury prevention. Beyond Pilates, Dorothy’s movement repertoire is diverse and culturally rich. She holds a certification in the Chinese Dance Graded Examination Syllabus (CDGES) from the Beijing Dance Academy, allowing her to share her heritage through both performance and teaching. She also embraces physical challenges through Spartan obstacle races, aerial arts (silks and flying trapeze), and Korean traditional dance and drumming - all expressions of her dynamic spirit. With a professional background in residential design, Dorothy values functional design - an essence that translates into her Pilates teaching, emphasizing functional movement that aligns with each individual's unique body mechanics and lifestyle. Whether you're recovering, building strength, or rediscovering joy in movement, Dorothy is committed to creating a supportive and empowering space where you can move better and feel stronger.

Hanna is a certified Pilates instructor, Canfitpro fitness trainer, and dance teacher with a passion for functional movement, anatomy, and injury recovery. With a background in dance and years of experience in movement disciplines, she brings a strong foundation of body awareness and control to her teaching. After sustaining an injury during a pole dance competition, Hanna turned to Pilates as a method of healing. Through consistent practice, she not only recovered but discovered a new sense of alignment, strength, and control. This personal transformation sparked a new mission: to help others move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free through intelligent movement. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Hanna continually expands her knowledge through leading institutions such as Polestar Pilates, the Franklin Method, and Art of Motion. She is passionate about understanding how the body works and how to support a wide range of clients with diverse needs and conditions. Hanna specializes in working with spine-related issues—such as SI joint dysfunction, neck and lower back pain—as well as chronic pain, postural imbalances, and pre/postnatal care. Her approach is grounded in evidence-informed practices and personalized programming, ensuring that every session is both safe and effective. By combining her love of teaching with deep knowledge of biomechanics and fascia-focused training, Hanna empowers clients to reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and move with confidence—at any stage of life.

Ashley is a lifelong movement enthusiast whose passion for active living naturally led her to Pilates. She earned her full comprehensive certification through Polestar Pilates US, completing over 450 hours of training through a hybrid program at The Original Joseph Pilates Studio in New York City. Ashley approaches Pilates not just as exercise, but as a tool for physical longevity, functional strength, and enhanced mind-body awareness. Whether working with experienced movers, athletes, or individuals recovering from injury, she is committed to creating individualized, effective programs that align with each client’s personal goals. Her teaching is rooted in the Principles of Movement and guided by the belief that Pilates is accessible to all bodies. She combines a strong focus on precision, alignment, and intentional movement, encouraging her clients to build strength, mobility, and confidence in every session. Outside of the studio, you’ll often find Ashley playing hockey or exploring the city in search of the best matcha and green juice. Specialties: Movement Rehabilitation

Karen has been passionate about dance since childhood, a foundation that sparked her lifelong curiosity about the science of movement. She firmly believes that mindful movement is a powerful tool for enhancing both physical and mental well-being. Karen began her Pilates journey in 2021 and has since become a fully certified instructor through dedicated and comprehensive training. She has also expanded her expertise with additional certifications in Barre, myofascial release, and stretching techniques, allowing her to offer a well-rounded approach to movement, recovery, and rehabilitation. Driven by a deep passion for helping others, Karen is committed to supporting people in regaining strength, mobility, and ease in their everyday lives. Her teaching style is patient, encouraging, and empathetic, grounded in a deep respect for each individual’s unique journey. Being a Movement Instructor is a lifelong journey. We learn to move and we move to learn.
